Terms from Artificial Intelligence: humans at the heart of algorithms

Social media, such as Facebook and Twitter are imporatnt in AI for a number of reasons. First they often use sophisticated recommender systems to work out which content to present to theor users. Second becasue they may be used as the raw data for datasets to use for natural language processing and machine learning. Finally, they have been a fertile ground for bad actors, including risks of privacy breaches, misinformation and deep fakes.
